When I started my health journey, I noticed I felt disappointed with myself or guilty when I would eat something that didn’t fit in my plan, like eating a slice (or two or three) of pizza, or some other treat. That feeling would stick around for hours, sometimes days afterward.

I love pizza, and hated feeling guilty when I had a slice.

I would get so frustrated with myself, that I would completely give up, and I would begin self-sabotaging by reaching for anything and everything that didn’t suit my goals.

I had to break that “all-or-nothing” mentality- where I was either all in, and doing 100% right, or doing absolutely nothing right and destroying all my efforts. Have you ever felt this way? I have spoken with dozens of women who have, at one time or another, struggled with this feeling. I didn’t know how to break that cycle...

...until I learned to practice Instant Forgiveness.

When I discovered how to apply Instant Forgiveness, my whole relationship with food, my own body, and my mindset transformed, and I finally began seeing what I was truly capable of.

Instant Forgiveness

It is so important to practice Instant Forgiveness in your own health journey, as well as your everyday life. No one– and I mean NO. ONE. – can be “perfect” every single day, or every single meal. It is important to give yourself grace when you “slip up” or don’t meet your incredibly high expectations for yourself.

Remember, many of us are learning to undo a lifetime of bad eating and bad behaviors. It takes a lot of time, patience, and grace to rewire your habits. Don’t get so down on yourself that you begin to spiral.

For example, let’s say someone brought cookies into the office and you ate one before you even realized what you were doing. In this case, do you allow it to completely derail you from your goals and go back for more, and then skip the gym and then have pizza four nights in a row afterward?! No!

Instead, you instantly tell yourself, ”That’s okay. I will do better at my next meal.”

And then you go and rock your next meal! You release any feeling of negativity or guilt, and acknowledge that, in that moment, you wanted the cookie, and you weren’t completely focused on our goals...

...but you will be at your very next opportunity!

Let it go, and continue living your healthy, amazing life!
